Out of School Youth
Out of school youth
TAGDev 2.0 will provide 5,000 out-of-school youth with the skills, mentorship, and opportunities they need to transition into meaningful employment or entrepreneurship within the agribusiness sector. Recognizing the challenges that many young people face in accessing education and employment, the program will offer targeted training programs designed to equip them with practical, market-ready skills. These programs will cover key areas such as:
- Sustainable farming practices
- Agro-processing
- Climate-smart technologies
- Business development
This will ensure that youth are prepared to meet the evolving demands of the agri-food industry. Through hands-on experience, workshops, and exposure to successful agribusinesses, the program will empower youth to launch their own ventures or contribute to existing enterprises, creating a pathway to economic independence. Additionally, TAGDev 2.0 will provide access to financial support and networks, connecting young entrepreneurs with investors, mentors, and industry experts who can help them scale their businesses. This initiative will not only create thousands of jobs for young people but will also contribute to young people transformation by integrating them into sustainable agribusinesses that drive local economic growth and food security. Ultimately, by empowering out-of-school youth, TAGDev 2.0 will foster long-term social inclusion, reducing youth unemployment, and nurturing a generation of leaders in agri-preneurship.
